Two brothers in the City of Industry, California, are facing robbery charges for their alleged involvement in a violent purse-snatching incident in the parking lot of a Costco store. David Martin Morrison Jr., 38, and Andrew Morrison, 34, are set to be arraigned at the West Covina courthouse in connection with the case filed against them by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges filed against the brothers include one count of robbery each. Additionally, Andrew Morrison faces two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information, while a third defendant, Jake Raya, is charged with one count of unauthorized use of personal identifying information.
The robbery took place at around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 outside the Costco store on Castleton Street. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the victim was attacked while trying to recover her purse and sustained life-threatening injuries after being repeatedly punched in the face and dragged by the getaway vehicle.
After their arrest in Diamond Bar last Thursday, the brothers were found in possession of personal property belonging to the victim. David Morrison’s bail was set at $500,000, while Andrew Morrison’s bail was set at $600,000.
