Crash Involving Semi-Truck Leaves Three Dead in Laughlin

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Tragedy struck on State Route 163 in Laughlin on Saturday afternoon, as a collision between a motorcycle and a semi-truck claimed the lives of three individuals. Nevada State Police reported the incident just after 2:30 p.m. near mile marker 11 on State Route 163, with the loss of three individuals confirmed by troopers at the scene.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office worked diligently to identify the victims, unveiling two of the three individuals involved in the crash on Monday morning. Among them was Owen Hart, a 22-year-old from Saint George, Utah, whose life was tragically cut short due to multiple blunt-force trauma. The coroner also named Jeremy Gebo, a 44-year-old male whose address remained unknown at the time of identification, as a victim of the accident. His cause of death mirrored that of Hart’s, both incidents ruled as accidents.

Details regarding the third victim remained scarce as of publication, leaving authorities and loved ones awaiting further information on the tragic event. However, a significant development emerged on Monday afternoon, when authorities identified Claude Rafiki as the suspected individual responsible for the fatal crash. Rafiki, facing charges of DUI resulting in death and reckless driving, now awaits a court appearance in Moapa Valley on March 26.
