Joliet, Illinois – A series of shocking and tragic events unfolded over two days in Joliet, Illinois, as eight people were found shot and killed in three different locations. Police announced that the suspect in these killings, 23-year-old Romeo Nance, was also found dead by an apparent suicide in Natalia, Texas, which is more than 1,200 miles away from Joliet.
Chief Bill Evans of the Joliet Police Department revealed that officers were alerted by the Will County Sheriff’s office about several people found dead in two separate houses in the 2200 block of West Acres Road near Madison Street. Responding officers discovered a total of seven people who had all been shot dead in the two houses.
The manhunt for Nance ensued after police established a link between a red Toyota Camry and the suspect. It was revealed that Nance was acquainted with the victims found in the two houses and that they were all believed to be related.
