Defiance Home Explosion Claims Lives of Two Children in St. Charles County

DEFIANCE, Mo. – Two children tragically lost their lives in a devastating home explosion on Friday morning in St. Charles County. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Highway 94 South in Defiance. The St. Charles County police were the first to arrive at the scene, responding to a house fire around 7:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, the police were unable to enter the home due to the intensity of the flames. When the firefighters arrived, they discovered two children trapped inside, but the fire proved to be too heavy for them to rescue the children, resulting in their unfortunate deaths.
