New Delhi, India: Tragedy struck in South Delhi just hours before a joyous occasion as a gym owner was fatally stabbed on the eve of his wedding. Gaurav Singhal, 29, was found dead at his home, allegedly murdered by his own father Rangalal, who has since been taken into custody by authorities.
Authorities revealed that the fatal stabbing stemmed from long-standing animosity, with Gaurav reportedly insulting his father on a daily basis. Gaurav, who operated the Fit Box gym, sustained 15 stab wounds to his face and chest at his residence in Devli Extension, succumbing to his injuries at the scene.
The gruesome incident unfolded just before Gaurav was set to partake in an arranged marriage ceremony, leaving guests waiting for his arrival as festivities were in full swing. His absence raised concerns, prompting a search that led to the tragic discovery of his lifeless body in Raju Park during the early hours of the following day.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) Ankit Chauhan stated that Gaurav’s father was swiftly apprehended following his disappearance, contrary to initial beliefs that foul play was not involved within the family unit. The abrupt turn of events cast a shadow of mourning over what was meant to be a day of celebration.
