The incident, which occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Northwest 35th Avenue, involved multiple bites and later escalated when one of the dogs tried to attack a deputy, leading to the use of force.
Emergency responders arrived to find the victim, identified as Claude LaFort, suffering from serious injuries. Chopper footage captured the aftermath, showing blood on the ground where the attack took place. Neighbors reported that they were alarmed by the commotion, with one witness recalling the frantic scene as the dogs approached LaFort.
Security camera footage from the area reportedly shows the moments leading up to the attack. In the footage, one dog can be seen walking into the street, accompanied by barking from another.
