New Delhi, India: A tragic incident took place in the city as an elderly woman was killed during a robbery in her home in south Delhi. The suspects, including a juvenile, have been apprehended by the police. The victim, Shakuntala, 80, resided alone in her home in Jaitpur, while her son lived separately with his family in the same locality.
The police received a call at 8:45 a.m. regarding the robbery-cum-murder and immediately responded to the scene. The Crime Team then conducted a thorough inspection of the location, reviewed CCTV footage, and interviewed witnesses to piece together the sequence of events.
The victim’s son informed the police that when he went to check on his mother, he found her lying unconscious with her gold jewelry missing. He then notified the authorities, prompting them to assign specific tasks to trace the culprits and crack the case.
After reviewing CCTV footage and receiving assistance from locals, the police were able to identify and apprehend one of the suspects, Mayank, in the same locality. Upon interrogation, Mayank confessed to his involvement and led the police to apprehend a 16-year-old juvenile, as well as recover the stolen jewelry items.
