Fatal Crash Leaves Three Dead and Multiple Injured On I-40 in Winslow

Winslow, Arizona – A tragic crash on Interstate 40 in Winslow, Arizona, resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left several others injured on Wednesday morning.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that a vehicle carrying eight people veered off the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 in Winslow at approximately 7:30 a.m. The driver lost control, crashing into the median before overcorrecting and causing the vehicle to roll multiple times.

Tragically, three people, including a 4-month-old infant, a teenage boy, and a man in his 50s, were ejected from the vehicle and did not survive. Five others were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash to determine if the driver was impaired at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the collision.

The freeway was temporarily shut down near the Little Colorado River due to the crash but was reopened around 8:40 a.m. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
