Fatal Fire Investigation Underway in Ireland, Lewis County After Four Victims Found

Bridgeport, West Virginia – Investigators from the WV State Fire Marshal’s Office have confirmed the discovery of four victims in the aftermath of a devastating fire that engulfed a home in Ireland, Lewis County.

In a tragic update at 2:30 PM, 5 News reported new details on the fatal fire that occurred in Lewis County early Monday morning. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office revealed that a man linked to the fatal fire took his own life at a residence in Kanawha County.

Deputies were called to Ester Lane in Hugheston following reports of a wanted individual, believed to be Luke Wilson, knocking on the door of a family member. Wilson, aged 45 and from Walkersville, West Virginia, was considered a suspect in the fatal fire in Lewis County.

Despite attempts to communicate with Wilson, deputies ultimately found him deceased inside his vehicle, the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Further information regarding the incident has not been disclosed.

The initial report, issued by the Office of the State Fire Marshal, indicated that the fire broke out earlier that morning in Ireland, Lewis County.
