Fatal Multi-Car Collision Claims Three Lives in Martin County, Texas

Martin County, Texas – A tragic multiple-car collision occurred in Martin County, Texas, that resulted in three people losing their lives and three others sustaining injuries. The incident, which took place on Tuesday, March 26, at approximately 7:30 p.m., was detailed in a report released by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to the report, the collision involved a Nissan car and a Ford Coachman traveling eastbound on IH-20. The driver of the Nissan allegedly swerved into the Ford Coachman, causing the latter to veer into the center median, ultimately colliding head-on with a Ford F-250 in the westbound lanes of IH-20. The impact tragically resulted in the deaths of Victor Craven Jr., a 25-year-old driver from Waco, Texas, and two passengers inside the Ford F-250.

Following the crash, the driver of the Ford F-250 was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Another passenger, 54-year-old Julio Lopez Leal from Mission, Texas, was also taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead there. Additionally, 51-year-old Pedro Alvarez Ramirez, a passenger from Midland, Texas, lost his life at the scene of the accident, as confirmed by Justice of the Peace Bradshaw.

The DPS report indicated that the driver of the Nissan, after striking the cable barrier and rolling over, along with a passenger inside, also sustained minor injuries and were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
