Fatal Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 4 Injured in Hawthorne Shopping Center

HAWTHORNE, Calif. – A tragic incident occurred Sunday morning in Hawthorne, as a shooting left one woman dead and four men injured, according to authorities.

The shooting took place at 12:27 a.m. in the 3100 block of Rosecrans Avenue at Louisiana Chicken, reported Lt. Art Spence of the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau. Upon arrival, law enforcement found one woman and four men with gunshot injuries, including an innocent bystander. The shopping center was littered with over 50 shell casings.

Despite life-saving measures at the scene, the woman was pronounced deceased at Gardena Memorial Hospital. The conditions of the other victims were unknown as they were transported to UCLA Medical Center.
