Father Charged in Homicide of Infant Daughter in Detroit

Detroit, Michigan – A Detroit father is now facing charges related to the tragic homicide of his nine-month-old daughter in the summer of 2023.

Wayne County authorities have taken steps to prosecute the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Charles Evans of Detroit, for the alleged murder of his infant daughter, Kinsley Evans. The Wayne County Prosecutor, Kym Worthy, expressed deep sorrow over the case, describing the injuries inflicted on the young child as unimaginably tragic.

Evans is charged with felony murder and first-degree child abuse in connection with the death of Baby Kinsley, who suffered fatal injuries at a residence in the 12200 block of Schaefer Highway on June 26, 2023.
