Five Arrested in Scottsdale Bar Fight After Man’s Fatal Injuries

Scottsdale, Arizona, is reeling after a recent bar fight led to the death of a local man, drawing attention to issues of violence in nightlife settings. Authorities have arrested five individuals linked to the fatal altercation involving 28-year-old Thomas John “T.J.” Pizzitola, who succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident.

Scottsdale police confirmed that Drew Meneses, 24, was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder. The identities of the other four suspects—Julius Husser, 27; Tony Becker, 26; Mark Whitford, 23; and Krista Molina, 27—were also made public, though charges against them remain unspecified as the investigation unfolds.

On October 11, officers were called to Pattie’s First Avenue Lounge, located near Scottsdale Road, following reports of an unconscious man on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, they found Pizzitola unresponsive and immediately transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators detailed that Pizzitola and two companions were involved in a confrontation with the suspects in the bar. During the altercation, he was struck in the head, causing him to fall to the ground. The assailants fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

While police have been tight-lipped about the specifics of Molina’s role in the incident, the arrests were made following a series of search warrants executed in Phoenix, Chandler, and Tempe. The coordinated effort involved multiple law enforcement units and underscores the seriousness with which authorities are treating this case.
