DELAND, FL – A chilling incident unfolded in DeLand, Florida, where police apprehended a man accused of attempting to dig a grave for an individual he had allegedly assaulted and left for dead. Giovanni Bubenik, 29, was arrested in connection with the attack on March 15 at a transient camp, authorities said.
Law enforcement from Volusia County responded to reports of an assault and discovered an unnamed victim with severe head injuries, reportedly inflicted by repeated blows to the back of the head.
