Gang-Related Murder: Four Arrested in Connection to Killing at Cayce Apartment Complex

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. – Four individuals, including two teenagers, have been taken into custody in connection to the murder of 19-year-old Travis Antwan Fuller Jr. in Cayce, as confirmed by authorities.

According to the Cayce Police Department, Fuller was tragically killed in what appears to be a gang-related incident, involving an exchange of gunfire. The suspect’s alleged attack also resulted in the injury of one of his accomplices. The suspects were identified as Joshua Sanchez, 18, Idris Xavier Scott, 24, Jasmine Kiara Golson, 24, and an unnamed 17-year-old who was also wounded during the shooting.

Charges have been filed against Sanchez and the teenager for murder, attempted armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Additionally, Sanchez faces a charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, while Golson and Scott have been charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and accessory to murder after the fact.

The police revealed that evidence gathered points to a planned robbery of Fuller for drugs and money on the night of December 11, 2023, at the Abbott Arms Apartments on Wilkinson Street in Cayce. Witnesses reported hearing an altercation in the apartment complex’s parking lot, followed by the sound of gunfire. Soon after, Fuller and the unnamed 17-year-old arrived at Lexington Medical Center, with Fuller being pronounced dead upon arrival.

Authorities have disclosed that further arrests are expected, as they suspect a connection between Fuller’s killing and another shooting involving a teenager. The incident, which occurred on November 25, involved the victim being injured by a person or persons inside a car.
