PHOENIX — An online portal has been launched by authorities to assist in gathering information regarding a recent shooting outside a Glendale restaurant that resulted in three fatalities and five injuries. The incident occurred at El Camaron Gigante Mariscos & Steakhouse, located at 6729 N. 57th Drive, around 7:45 p.m. Sunday night.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any photos or videos captured during the shooting, which can be submitted anonymously through the newly established online portal. Glendale Police spokesman Jose Santiago emphasized the potential impact of community contributions in identifying suspects and understanding the circumstances leading to the violence.
Initial reports indicate that the violence erupted in connection with a fight during a concert at the venue, which reportedly attracted between 200 and 300 attendees. Multiple shooters were involved, and as of Monday, no arrests had been made. Police believe those engaged in the altercation had prior disputes which may have contributed to the deadly confrontation.
Among the deceased are 17-year-old Damien Anthony Sproule and his 21-year-old brother Christopher Juaquin Sproule, as well as 21-year-old Milo Christopher Suniga. The injured victims include two women, aged 20 and 21, and three men, aged 16, 20, and 23.
Authorities are concerned about the spread of misinformation and are encouraging witnesses to share any video evidence. Santiago noted that detectives are hopeful that the footage could provide critical insights into the sequence of events and lead to identifying the parties involved.
The community has been shaken by the tragedy, highlighting a growing concern over safety in public spaces during large events. Officials continue to investigate the incident thoroughly, aiming to piece together the events that unfolded and prevent future occurrences of such violence.
As investigations progress, the police department remains committed to keeping the community informed and engaged, urging anyone with relevant information to utilize the online portal to assist in the ongoing case.
