Gunman Kills Two Men at Miami Gas Station, Police Continue Search

MIAMI, FLORIDA – A deadly shooting at a gas station in Miami has left two men dead and another in critical condition, prompting a search for the shooter by City of Miami Police. The incident took place at a Chevron station on Northwest 17th Avenue and 54th Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to investigators, the violence erupted following a verbal altercation involving two employees inside the gas station. The suspect allegedly produced a firearm and opened fire, injuring the employees and a customer before fleeing the scene on foot. The two employees, identified as Shahbaz Hussain, 51, and Shamun Shaukat, 42, tragically lost their lives in the shooting.

One witness, Lorenzo, identified as a security worker at the gas station, revealed that one of the deceased victims was the business owner. He arrived at the scene to find the station cordoned off by police tape after oversleeping. The customer, identified as Elijah Shorter, 57, was swiftly taken to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Lorenzo mentioned that investigators have a clear description of the suspect, although he personally does not recognize the individual. The authorities have established two perimeters as they intensify their search for the shooter.

In the aftermath of the incident, Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers has urged anyone with information regarding the shooting or the whereabouts of the gunman to come forward. An anonymous tip could lead to a reward of up to $5,000, as the investigation into this tragic event continues.
