Indictment: Three Men Charged in the Heartbreaking Murder of Pregnant Ohio Woman on Her Due Date

CINCINNATI, Ohio — A tragic incident unfolded on March 4, 2023, when 26-year-old India Kinamore was fatally shot in her home on the day she was set to give birth. The event not only cut short her life but also raised devastating questions about the circumstances surrounding her death.

Authorities have since revealed that three men have been indicted in connection with the crime. On August 21, Robert Ervin, 20, Kayvon Warren, 30, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, were charged with 13 offenses, including four counts of aggravated murder. Additional allegations of burglary and felony assault were also included in the indictment from the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office.

Investigators have determined that the murder was staged to appear as a burglary. The prosecutor’s office stated that Kinamore’s death was particularly heartbreaking, given that it occurred on what should have been one of the happiest days of her life. Connie Pillich, the Hamilton County Prosecutor, emphasized the cruel nature of the crime, noting that the father of Kinamore’s unborn child was allegedly involved in the conspiracy to take her life.

Warren has been identified as the father of the child Kinamore was expecting and reportedly attempted to pressure her into terminating the pregnancy. However, legal restrictions prevented this. Around the time of Kinamore’s death, Warren was reportedly engaged with another woman and facing significant financial struggles, which included losing his home.

In the days leading up to the tragedy, Warren allegedly requested bereavement leave from work, an action that has raised suspicions among investigators regarding his intentions. The planning involved by the three men points to a chilling level of premeditation surrounding the crime.

Kinamore’s mother, Terri Kinamore, expressed her relief following the arrests, stating that she now feels a sense of closure knowing that those responsible for her daughter’s death will face justice. “Now I am able to come back and tell her that the people that did this to her have been caught, and justice will be served,” she remarked.

Facing serious charges, Warren, Ervin, and Suggs could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted. This case serves as a devastating reminder of the widespread impact of violence, drawing community attention to the broader issues of domestic disputes and mental health challenges that can lead to such tragic outcomes. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities gather more evidence and details surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
