Kidnapping, Torture, and Assault: Four Men Arrested in Brisbane Attack

Brisbane, Australia – Two men have appeared in court facing charges of torture, kidnapping, and other offenses, following a violent attack on a woman in Brisbane. Police are seeking two other individuals for questioning in connection with the incident.

According to Queensland Police, the victim was taken from a home in Doolandella by a group of men on Friday. She was then assaulted, placed in a vehicle, and transported to a property in Forest Lake, where a firearm was discharged into the vehicle, although no one was injured by the gunfire.

Acting Inspector Michael Hogan stated that the victim did not know her alleged attackers, but there is no indication that the incident was gang-related, and there is no threat to the wider community.

Following a tip-off from a member of the public, officers arrested four men at an address in Stafford Heights, with two later being released. The two remaining men, aged 18 and 20, have been charged with kidnapping, extortion, torture, armed robbery, dangerous conduct with a weapon, and other offenses.

The victim, a 43-year-old woman, sustained non-life threatening injuries and has been discharged from the hospital. Acting Inspector Hogan described her as significantly shaken and traumatized by the events.

Investigators have made a public appeal for two additional men, whose ages are unknown, to come forward for questioning regarding their alleged involvement in the incident. Three properties have been designated as crime scenes, and a vehicle has been seized for forensic examination.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information or footage related to the incident to come forward and assist with the case.
