Killer Googled ‘Can someone haunt me after they die?’ Before Brutal Murder of Wife

Lincoln, United Kingdom: A shocking case has emerged in Lincoln, UK, where a resident, Nicholas Metson, allegedly murdered his wife, Holly Bramley, and dismembered her body into over 200 pieces. The disturbing details of the crime came to light when it was discovered that Metson had searched online for information such as “Can someone haunt me after they die?” and “What benefits do I get if my wife has died?”

Upon police investigation at Metson’s residence, he callously misled authorities about his wife’s whereabouts and even made jokes about her potentially hiding under the bed. Further searches on Metson’s internet history showed inquiries like “How to get rid of a dead body” and “Does God forgive murder.”

During questioning, the 28-year-old Metson eventually confessed to the heinous crime of killing his wife, although the motive behind the murder remains unclear. Scheduled for sentencing on April 8, it was revealed that Metson had involved his friend, Joshua Hancock, in disposing of Bramley’s remains after they had been stored in their flat for nearly a week.

The victim’s family has accused Metson of controlling behavior that prevented them from contacting Bramley for over a year prior to her tragic death. Additionally, Metson has a troubling history of animal cruelty and previous offenses against his former partners in 2013, 2016, and 2017.

Prior to Bramley’s murder, Metson had also subjected her pets to brutal treatment as a form of punishment. Disturbing reports revealed instances where he had placed her puppy in a washing machine and her hamsters in a food blender and microwave, resulting in their deaths.

After Bramley’s murder, Metson and his accomplice disposed of her remains in a river near Bassingham, 12 miles away from her home. The couple had initially met at Boston College in Lincolnshire in 2016 and later married in 2021.

The gruesome nature of this crime has shocked the community and raised questions about the extent of domestic violence and control in relationships. As the case unfolds, more details may provide insight into the events leading up to Holly Bramley’s tragic demise.
