The Ministry of Interior reported that the crackdown began with the arrest of a suspect in Salmiya, where law enforcement discovered significant quantities of methanol. This individual provided crucial information on the operation’s inner workings, leading to the detention of two additional suspects involved in the distribution of the harmful substance.
As the investigation widened, security operations across various governorates in Kuwait identified a total of 67 individuals associated with the illegal production of alcohol. These efforts uncovered six factories engaged in the manufacture of banned substances, with four found nestled within residential and industrial zones. Authorities also captured 34 individuals sought for other infractions, revealing a broader network of illicit activity.
