License Denial Leads to Deadly 18-Wheeler Crash into Texas DPS Office in Brenham, Killing One

Brenham, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded in Brenham, Texas, as one person lost their life and 13 others sustained injuries when a man drove an 18-wheeler into a Texas DPS office. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the driver, identified as Clenard Parker, 42, had stolen the big rig from Chappell Hill, located around 15 minutes away from Brenham.

Law enforcement attempted to stop Parker as he drove the stolen vehicle, but he evaded capture. He eventually drove into the Texas DPS office through the front door, causing significant damage. Despite his attempt to crash into the building again, Parker was swiftly apprehended before further damage could occur, thanks to the quick action of first responders.

Mayor Atwood Kenjura expressed gratitude for the prompt response of first responders, highlighting the potential for more severe consequences if not for their intervention. The crash resulted in injuries to all 14 individuals inside the building, with three being airlifted to the hospital and one succumbing to their injuries.
