Man arrested after gruesome murder and dismemberment discovery in Brooklyn apartment

NEW YORK, NY – A Brooklyn man, Nicolas McGee, was arrested on Friday in connection with the murder and dismemberment of Kawsheen Gelzer, in a chilling case that shocked the community.

McGee, 45, faces charges of murder, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing a human corpse after authorities discovered Gelzer’s dismembered body in the fridge and freezer of McGee’s East Flatbush apartment. The arrest came after months of investigation following an anonymous tip regarding Gelzer’s disappearance.

According to reports, Gelzer, a drug dealer and sex offender, had been staying on McGee’s couch when the fatal altercation occurred in the spring of 2022. McGee’s wife, Heather Stines, still residing in the apartment, allegedly attempted to hinder the police investigation by tampering with evidence and concealing the body.

Stines was later arrested and charged with concealment of a human corpse, hindering prosecution, and tampering with physical evidence. She pleaded not guilty to all charges and is set to appear in court next month for further proceedings.

McGee reportedly confessed to Gelzer’s murder during a police interview in February. As the case unfolds, authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to Gelzer’s tragic death and the subsequent attempts to conceal the crime.

Details of McGee’s upcoming court appearance and arraignment on the charges were not immediately available online. The investigation into Gelzer’s murder continues, with authorities pursuing justice for the victim and his family.

This developing story serves as a stark reminder of the dark realities that can unfold within communities, sparking conversations about crime prevention and support for those impacted by senseless violence.
