Manhunt ends as Allegheny County murder suspect found dead in West Virginia

Charleston, West Virginia – A tragic incident unfolded as Dennis Rahuba, 50, the suspect accused of the shooting deaths of a man and woman in Allegheny County, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in West Virginia. The victims were discovered inside a home on Great Oak Drive in Scott Township early Monday morning.

Authorities were alerted to Rahuba’s potential whereabouts as he was reportedly traveling on I-79 toward Charleston. Upon receiving this information, police from various surrounding agencies took action to intercept Rahuba’s vehicle. The interstate was promptly closed off, and law enforcement officers surrounded him.

Deputies from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office were the ones to spot Rahuba’s vehicle on a Charleston interstate. They attempted to make contact with Rahuba, but tragically, he turned the gun on himself before they could apprehend him.

While this heartbreaking incident has come to a close with Rahuba’s death, the Allegheny County police are continuing their investigation into the tragic double murder.
