Maryland Man Charged with Murder After Stabbing in Northern Virginia: Victim Identified

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Authorities have charged a Maryland resident with murder following a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday night in Northern Virginia. Musa Kargbo, 42, is accused of killing 26-year-old Isha Koroma in Annandale.

The incident took place on Nov. 7 around 10 p.m. in the 3900 block of Terrace Drive. Responding to reports of a person with injuries, police found Koroma’s body lying in the street. She was declared dead at the scene due to trauma to her upper body.

Investigators from the Fairfax County Police Department suspect that Kargbo and Koroma were acquainted, indicating that this was not a random act of violence. A preliminary inquiry revealed that Kargbo traveled from Maryland to Annandale specifically to confront Koroma.

Kargbo was apprehended the following morning by law enforcement from Prince George’s County in Lanham, Maryland. He is expected to be extradited to Fairfax County, where he will face charges of second-degree murder.

As the investigation continues, detectives are working to uncover the details surrounding the events that led to the stabbing. The case has raised concerns about safety and relationships among local communities, especially given the tragic outcome.
