WALDORF, MD – Authorities in Maryland are intensifying their search for a missing mother of two, Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23, amid concerns of foul play in her disappearance. Guerra’s disappearance comes as her boyfriend, the father of her children, has been detained by federal authorities for allegedly residing in the United States without proper documentation.
Guerra was last physically observed at her Waldorf residence on the evening of March 31. On April 1, their family’s red Toyota 4Runner was seen moving from the front to the back of the house in a reportedly suspicious manner, only to later leave the premises. This unusual activity has raised alarms among investigators, who are reaching out to the public for assistance.
Authorities are seeking surveillance video footage of the 4Runner spanning from March 31 to April 2. Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Diane Richardson emphasized the importance of surveillance evidence, asking residents in the area to examine hunters’ cameras and other recording devices, extending the search to rural and isolated areas.
The case intensified after Guerra was reported missing on April 2 by her boyfriend. Although investigators have yet to name an official suspect, they regard him as a person of interest.
During a thorough search of the couple’s home, deputies discovered counterfeit immigration documents linked to the boyfriend. Verification with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed the papers as fake, leading to his detainment for illegal residence in the U.S.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to uncover more details related to Guerra’s disappearance. They are urging anyone with information on Guerra’s whereabouts or anyone who might have seen the family’s SUV in the relevant timeframe to contact Charles County Crime Solvers.
A friend of Guerra, identified only as Wilson, expressed deep concern over her sudden disappearance. “It’s very serious what’s happening,” he conveyed, emphasizing the toll on Guerra’s family. “We’re all hoping she appears alive and well soon. The children are suffering, and everyone wants her back safe,” he said, underscoring Guerra’s positive impact on those around her.
As authorities continue their search efforts, the community remains hopeful for a safe resolution to this troubling case.
