Mass Shooting Leaves Two Dead, Four Injured in Philadelphia Illegal Speakeasy

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – A shooting in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood has left two people dead and four others injured. The incident occurred on the 2400 block of Myrtlewood Street just before 1 a.m Sunday. Bullets were scattered across the street, and six people were struck by gunfire inside a home.

The victims, ranging in age from early 22-years-old to 53-years-old, were found in a house being used as an illegal speak easy. A 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 41-year-old man died at the hospital. Police recovered a gun from the 41-year-old, and a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the hand was also taken to the hospital.

In the aftermath of the shooting, three additional gunshot victims arrived at the hospital. They included a 28-year-old man shot twice in the leg, a 22-year-old woman shot in the leg, and a 33-year-old woman shot two times in the arm. All three are being treated for their injuries.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding the mass shooting. At least four victims are currently recovering at the hospital, and the authorities are awaiting an update on their conditions.
