Maury County Fire Department Battles Blaze, Multiple Dogs Dead in Mobile Home Fire

Maury County, Tennessee – Firefighters battled intense heat on Sunday afternoon as they worked to extinguish a devastating blaze in Maury County. The fire destroyed a home and tragically claimed the lives of several pets.

According to the Maury County Fire Department, multiple units responded to a house fire on Mack Benderman Road just before 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 16. Firefighters arrived to find a double-wide mobile home engulfed in flames and partially collapsed.

Upon arrival, deputies from the Maury County Sheriff’s Office reported that elderly residents lived in the home. First responders conducted a daring “Vent, Enter, Search” operation to rescue a dog found on the bed in the only bedroom not consumed by fire. Fortunately, the owners were not present during the fire.

Despite sweltering conditions, fire crews worked tirelessly to fully extinguish the blaze. Tragically, several dogs perished in the fire, as photos shared on social media revealed the extent of the destruction caused by the flames.
