Murder-Suicide: New York Police Sergeant, Wife, and 2 Sons Found Dead in Apparent Family Tragedy

NEW YORK CITY, NY – In a tragic incident, a family of four was discovered dead early Saturday morning in what investigators believe to be a murder-suicide. According to the Clarkstown Police Department, officers were called to 10 Clydesdale Court in New York City for a welfare check just after midnight on Saturday. Upon arrival, they found four individuals deceased in the home.

The police department reported that Watson Morgan, a sergeant with the Bronxville Police Department, is suspected of shooting and killing his wife and two sons before taking his own life. The family members were identified as Watson Morgan, 49; Ornela Morgan, 43; and their two sons ages 10 and 12. All four had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Morgan had been a member of the New York Police Department before joining the Bronxville Police Department, rising to the rank of sergeant in 2016. The Clarkstown Police Department initiated the welfare check after Morgan failed to show up for his shift with the Bronxville Police Department.

Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale expressed condolences for Morgan’s family, stating, “Our hearts go out to Sergeant Morgan’s extended family. Our thoughts and prayers are also with his Bronxville Police Department family.”

The tragedy left the community in shock as they grappled with the loss of the entire Morgan family. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, as authorities work to understand the events leading up to the heartbreaking tragedy. Our thoughts are with the friends and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
