Murder-Suicide Tragedy Unfolds in Palm Harbor Home

Palm Harbor, Florida – Tragedy struck a residence on Moreno Drive in Palm Harbor when two individuals were discovered deceased in what appears to be a murder-suicide on Tuesday morning. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the incident via a 911 call reporting gunshots at 4192 Moreno Drive just before 8:30 a.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found Stacey McLean, 52, lifeless in a bedroom inside the house. Additionally, Darryl Serraj, 26, was found deceased in a different bedroom with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Detectives disclosed that Serraj had been in a romantic relationship with McLean’s daughter for approximately five years, but the relationship had recently ended. Allegedly, Serraj forcibly entered the residence, killed McLean, and then took his own life.

Officials stated that the final cause of death will be confirmed following examination by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
