AKRON, Ohio – A woman from Akron, Leah Zweidinger, was found dead on New Year’s Day in Perry Township, leading to a murder charge against a man who she had been dating, according to authorities. Her son, Micah Zweidinger, described her as an incredibly strong woman and friend to many, and said that she had ended the relationship with the accused murderer after he started mistreating her.

The accused, Lee R. Greenwalt, 47, has been charged with murder and felonious assault in connection with the death of the 48-year-old Akron woman. He is currently in custody at the Stark County jail with a bail set at $250,000. Greenwalt is scheduled to make a court appearance in Massillon Municipal Court on Jan. 12, where the judge will determine whether the case will be sent to a grand jury for review.
