Rochester, New York – A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 years to life in prison for the murder of Sayyos Rios, an innocent victim killed in a drive-by shooting while sitting on his porch last July. Rios, who was not the intended target, tragically lost his life in front of his home on North Union Street.
The sentencing of Teodoro Rivera Jr. for Rios’ murder was delivered by Monroe County Judge Douglas Randall. In addition to the murder conviction, Rivera was also sentenced to 15 years in prison for criminal possession of a weapon, with an additional five years of post-release supervision.
