Perfect Game: Calvary Softball’s Offensive Explosion Leads to Quarterfinals Advance

SHREVEPORT, La. – Calvary Baptist Academy’s softball team delivered an impressive offensive performance, scoring 10 runs in the first inning against Beekman Charter. The game at Lady Cavs Park on Tuesday night ended in a 12-0 victory for Calvary, thanks in part to a stellar pitching performance by Kynzee Anderson, who threw her second perfect game of the season, striking out five batters.

Anderson’s dominance on the mound was evident, as she did not allow a single baserunner throughout the game. Her flawless performance earned praise from both her coach, Tiffany Wood, and her teammates. Wood commended Anderson for executing her pitches well and delivering a strong performance, while third baseman Loren Sivils described Anderson as one of the best pitchers she knows.

Carley Guile contributed to Calvary’s early lead with an RBI double in the first inning, followed by a two-run homer later in the same inning. Sivils also made an impact with a three-run homer that extended the team’s lead to 4-0. The offensive explosion set the tone for Calvary’s dominant performance.

With a record of 30-1, Calvary is now gearing up for their upcoming game against Patrick Taylor, with a chance to secure a spot at the state tournament. The team will look to carry the momentum from their recent victory into the highly anticipated match on Friday at Lady Cavs Park, aiming for another strong performance on the field.
