Pro Wrestler Syko Stu on the Mend After Brutal Attack: Community Supports His Recovery with Generous Donations

LONDON, Canada — Professional wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith is recovering after suffering serious facial injuries from a violent in-ring attack last Saturday. Fellow wrestler Douglas Malo, who intervened during the incident, reported that Smith is now alert, able to speak, and remembers much of the events leading up to the assault.

In an update on Smith’s condition, Malo shared that while the injuries he sustained aren’t life-threatening, they are serious and will take time to heal. Smith was rushed to a local hospital immediately following the incident, which escalated rapidly, raising concerns about the potential severity of the attack without intervention.

Malo recounted his own confrontation with the attacker, Raja Jackson, the son of former MMA fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. During the scuffle, Malo sustained minor injuries while trying to protect his friend. “I was furious about what happened to Stu,” Malo said. “When I attempted to pull Raja away, he came after me with a tackle. If he had succeeded, things could have turned out very differently.”

Following the attack, Jackson left the venue, but legal repercussions may be forthcoming. The Los Angeles Police Department has initiated a criminal investigation into the matter, with increasing public calls for formal charges against him.

Malo also addressed a secondary incident involving an object thrown prior to the assault. He responded to remarks made by WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, who suggested Smith played a role in provoking the confrontation. Malo emphasized the unpredictability of the situation and the importance of holding the attacker accountable.

In the wake of this distressing event, the wrestling community has shown overwhelming support for Smith. A GoFundMe campaign has already raised around $150,000 to assist with his medical bills. Notable contributions include a $10,000 donation from YouTuber MrBeast and $2,500 from wrestling icon Chris Jericho.

With a growing network of support rallying behind him, Smith’s recovery process is in motion, offering hope for his return to the ring.
