Python Plot: Georgia Men Charged for Sinister Bombing Scheme to Devour Ex-Girlfriend’s Daughter

Richmond Hill, Georgia – Two men from Georgia are facing federal charges after being accused of devising a disturbing plan involving a python to harm the daughter of one of their former partners. Stephen Glosser, 37, and Caleb Kinsey, 34, of Richmond Hill, were taken into custody in February 2023 following an incident where they detonated a homemade bomb at the residence of a woman with whom one of them had a prior relationship.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Georgia recently revealed that the two men have been indicted on a range of federal charges related to the bombing and their elaborate scheme, which included sending dog feces to the ex’s home, setting loose a snake in her house, and planning to scalp her. One particularly chilling aspect of their plan involved acquiring a large python to release it into the victim’s home to harm her daughter.

Among the charges filed against Glosser and Kinsey are stalking, conspiracy to use an explosive to commit a felony, possession of an unregistered device, and using an explosive for another felony offense. Kinsey is facing additional charges for making false statements during the purchase of a firearm and possessing firearms as a convicted felon. Prosecutors noted that the men had been surveilling the victim from December 2022 to January 2023 with the intent to intimidate, injure, harass, or potentially kill her.

According to investigators, Glosser had used internet searches to identify the victim’s residence and had mapped out a plan to reach her location. Kinsey then allegedly constructed an explosive device at Glosser’s home using Tannerite, which he bought online. The device was used to detonate the victim’s home on January 13, 2023, leading to an emergency response.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the explosion at the residence on Demeries Lake Court in Richmond Hill. Glosser was arrested locally, while Kinsey had fled the state but was apprehended in Louisiana. Bryan County Sheriff Mark Crowe described the attack as “sinister,” noting that one of the individuals involved had a previous relationship with the woman who had recently moved into the targeted residence.

Both Glosser and Kinsey currently remain in custody as they await further legal proceedings. If convicted, they could face significant prison sentences, up to 20 years for the conspiracy charge and additional time for using an explosive to commit a felony. Considering the federal nature of the charges, parole would not be an option for the men.
