Renewed Appeal for Information in Brutal Murder of Glenn Quinn

BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND – The sister of Glenn Quinn, who was tragically murdered four years ago, has called for justice as the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) launched a renewed appeal for information regarding his killing.

Glenn Quinn was found dead in his home in Ashleigh Park in Carrickfergus on January 4, 2020. Police suspect he was attacked by a group of men on the preceding Thursday and Friday. Detective Inspector Gina Quinn described the attack as “shocking and brutal,” emphasizing that Glenn should have been safe in his own home.

The renewed appeal for information, taking place on the fourth anniversary of Glenn’s death, includes an increased reward of up to £40,000, with £20,000 offered by the charity Crimestoppers and an additional £20,000 from an anonymous donor.

Lesley Murphy, Glenn’s sister, urged witnesses in Carrickfergus to come forward, emphasizing Glenn’s kind-hearted nature and the violent nature of his death. “Those responsible need to be punished,” she stated, highlighting the impact of Glenn’s murder on the entire community.

Detective Inspector Quinn stressed the importance of bringing the responsible parties to justice, acknowledging the ongoing pain and heartache experienced by Glenn’s family. She reassured potential witnesses that they could come forward with complete anonymity through Crimestoppers.

The plea for information and justice for Glenn Quinn continues, as his family and the community seek closure and accountability.
