Reward: $5,000 for Information on Norristown Slaying Suspects

Norristown, Pennsylvania – Law enforcement officials in Montgomery County are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of four men involved in the fatal shooting of 35-year-old William Grover Carter on Saturday night.

The deadly incident occurred at approximately 7:49 p.m. on Saturday, when Carter was assaulted while walking along W. Wood Street after leaving a friend’s home. The assailants, dressed in black, robbed Carter before shooting him to death. Investigators believe the perpetrators arrived in a gray Toyota RAV-4, with a fourth individual waiting in the car as the incident unfolded. The suspects then fled the scene at a high rate of speed, leaving behind a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle believed to have been used in the crime was found in flames at the intersection of Willow and Roberts streets around 3 a.m. on Sunday. Authorities confirmed that the stolen vehicle had been reported missing from Cheltenham on Dec. 21.
