Shelter-in-Place Order Issued in Pennsylvania Township After Fatal Shootings

Falls Township, Pennsylvania – Authorities in a Pennsylvania township have issued a shelter-in-place order for residents following a series of shootings that left three individuals dead on Saturday morning. The Middletown Township Police Department reported that the victims were found in Falls Township, located about an hour outside of Philadelphia.

According to Jeff Dence, chairman of the town’s board of supervisors, the incident is believed to be domestic-related, with three individuals killed at two separate locations. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Andre Gordon, reportedly carjacked another victim after the shootings. The investigation is being conducted in collaboration with the district attorney’s office and the FBI.

It has been reported that the suspect, Mr. Gordon, is homeless but often resides in Trenton. While he was acquainted with three of the victims, the fourth victim from the carjacking incident was not known to him. Earlier in the day, residents of Middletown were advised to avoid traveling to Falls Township until further notice. The shelter-in-place order was lifted once the suspect was located barricaded in a house in Trenton, New Jersey.

Law enforcement officials, including SWAT officers, surrounded a duplex in the area of Phillips Avenue and Nassau Street, where the suspect was believed to be hiding. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has been briefed on the situation and has directed state police to work with local law enforcement.

The developing story of the shootings in Falls Township continues to unfold as authorities work to gather more information and ensure the safety of the community. As the investigation progresses, more details are expected to emerge regarding the motive behind the tragic events that unfolded on Saturday morning.
