Shooting Arrests Made in Seminole County After Rapper Jackboy Incident

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities announced the arrest of 13 individuals in connection with a shooting that claimed the life of a 31-year-old woman and injured five others last year. Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma revealed the arrests during a press conference held on Monday afternoon.

The incident took place at around 2:15 a.m. on January 16, 2023, as rapper Pierre Delince, also known as Jackboy, was departing from a show at The Barn in Sanford accompanied by a large entourage traveling in an SUV and a sprinter bus. Tragically, six women in the van were shot, including Princess Tolliver, who succumbed to her injuries.

The vehicles were en route to Orlando when a shooter in a Black Nissan opened fire on the van at County Road 46A and Rinehart Road. Tolliver, a civilian employee at the Florida State University Police Department, was among those injured.

Following the shooting, the van driver rushed the victims to a nearby hospital, while law enforcement managed to corner the vehicle carrying the alleged gunman. Investigators recovered evidence in the form of multiple rounds of ammunition that matched those found at the crime scene.

The motive behind the shooting appears to stem from a feud between rappers Jackboy and Kodak Black, according to Sheriff Lemma. The perpetrator, a member of the OTF gang, targeted the van believing Jackboy was inside, only to discover later that the rapper was traveling in the SUV.

Lemma highlighted that the OTF gang, a subset of the larger Crips network, has a history of criminal activities in Seminole County. The U.S. Marshals Service, alongside local authorities including the Orlando Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s Office, cooperated in apprehending the suspects linked to the shooting.

In total, 13 suspects have been taken into custody, with eight arrested on Friday in connection to the incident. Additionally, five others were already detained on separate charges. Over 120 search warrants were executed as part of the investigation, with a detailed affidavit expected to be released at a later time.
