Shooting Fatality on Main Street in Longmont under Investigation

Longmont, Colorado – A tragic incident occurred on Main Street early Friday morning, resulting in the death of a man during a shooting. The Longmont Public Safety released a statement indicating that the police responded to reports of two individuals engaged in a physical altercation in front of 321 Main St. These two men had recently exited the Speakeasy Bar and Venue at 301 Main St.

Authorities have identified the deceased as 36-year-old Christopher Johnston, who was shot and killed during the altercation. The Boulder County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity. The individual believed to be responsible for the shooting called 911 and cooperated with law enforcement, remaining at the scene until their arrival.

As of the latest update, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident, and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
