Shooting Rampage in Denver Metro Area Leaves Multiple Victims on New Year’s Eve

LEWISTON, Maine- Law enforcement officers were at the scene of a mass shooting in the Denver metro area on New Year’s Eve and into the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.

In Aurora, a teenage boy was seriously injured after being shot outside a residence. The Aurora Police Department reported that the victim was taken to the hospital, and the suspect’s information had not yet been determined.

In Denver, a man was found shot with non-life-threatening injuries, and officers were working to develop suspect information. Later, Denver police investigated a shooting where two victims were found, one of whom was pronounced dead on Monday afternoon, and the other remains hospitalized. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information about a suspect was released.

At around 4 a.m., another shooting was investigated along E. Colfax Avenue, where one man sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The police did not have any suspect information at the time.

No signs of a suspect were found, and the investigations are ongoing.
