Stray Bullet Kills Man in Kalamazoo Northside Shooting Incident

Kalamazoo, Michigan – A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night in Kalamazoo, resulting in the death of Mark Jackson, a 53-year-old man from New Baltimore. Jackson lost his life when a stray bullet pierced through the door of the apartment he was residing in, highlighting the dangers of gun violence in the community.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety reported that officers responded to reports of gunshots on Interfaith Boulevard near Woodward Avenue around 10:25 p.m. The scene was described as chaotic, with a crashed car riddled with bullet holes, shell casings scattered, and a group of bystanders on the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found Jackson unresponsive and bleeding from the head inside a nearby apartment. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Jackson succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
