RAMSEY, N.J. – A woman was tragically shot and killed on Saturday evening at Konica Minolta’s headquarters in Ramsey, just off Route 17 near the Rockland County border. The suspect turned himself in to police in Montclair, a little over an hour after the fatal shooting. The police had received a call from a third party in Montclair, reporting that the shooter had killed the woman and seemed intent on harming himself.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including police departments from surrounding towns, Bergen County sheriff’s officers, and New Jersey State Police, quickly converged on the area. A search of the complex was conducted, and an alert was issued for a red 2018 Nissan Altima. The alert was canceled shortly after the surrender of the suspect, which occurred around 9 p.m.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella is expected to issue a brief statement following the interview and charging of the suspected killer. Further details are still pending at the moment.
