Teen Accused of Brutally Stabbing Mother Appears in Court

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A 13-year-old girl made her first court appearance after being accused of brutally stabbing her 33-year-old mother over 30 times. The incident occurred on Thursday in a home on the 11000 block of Talon Run on the Northwest Side.

In a shocking case that left the mother in critical condition, the teenage girl faced charges in juvenile court for the violent attack. The court heard how deputies found bloody brass knuckles and a dumbbell believed to have been used in the assault.

The girl’s mother was rushed into surgery and was listed in critical condition. The girl’s father was present in court to support her, as the judge found enough probable cause to keep her in custody until her next hearing scheduled for January 17. The girl, whose identity is protected as a juvenile, appeared in court wearing a blue prison uniform and handcuffs.

The details of the attack, combined with the young age of the accused, have left the community in shock. The severity of the charges and the mother’s critical condition have raised questions about the circumstances leading up to the incident and the support available for families dealing with such distressing situations. The next hearing will provide further insight into this tragic case.
