MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Authorities have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the tragic shooting death of a nurse outside a senior living facility in Raleigh. The incident occurred in the early hours of March 8 on Battle Creek Drive, according to the Memphis Police Department.
The victim, who was identified as a nurse, was fatally shot during what police described as a carjacking. The suspect has been charged with first-degree murder in perpetuation of a robbery and especially aggravated robbery.
The shooting has left residents and families at the Wesley Stage Park Senior Living Facility in shock and disbelief. One relative, Shannon Fuller, expressed deep sadness over the senseless violence, stating, “It’s horrible. I can’t imagine anybody wanting to take somebody over a car.”
