Texas Father and Son Arrested in Killings of Pregnant Woman and Boyfriend in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A father and son have been charged in the murders of an 18-year-old pregnant woman and her boyfriend, who were found shot in the head and left in a car in San Antonio. The bodies of Savanah Nicole Soto and Matthew Guerra were discovered in the parking lot of an apartment complex after being reported missing before Christmas. The deaths were suspected to be related to a drug deal, but no further details were provided.

According to San Antonio police, Soto was overdue to deliver her baby and had been scheduled for an induced labor before she disappeared. Investigators now believe the couple was killed on Dec. 21 and their bodies were found on Dec. 26. The case garnered widespread attention on social media, with police emphasizing that the suspects were arrested.

The father, Ramon Preciado, 53, was charged with abuse of a corpse, while his son, Christopher Preciado, 19, faced capital murder charges. Both men were accused of moving the victims’ bodies, and no other suspects were being sought. Despite the charges, no attorney information was available at the time of arrest.

The killings were ruled as homicides caused by gunshot wounds to the head. The investigation was aided by information found on Soto’s cellphone, leading authorities to another vehicle seen on surveillance footage. It ultimately led police to a house where the father and son were found. The exact location of the killings before the victims were moved to the apartment complex was not specified.

The family of Soto had raised alarms when she did not answer her door. They spent Christmas night searching for her, and a missing-person alert was issued by the Leon Valley police. The case has drawn significant attention and concern, leaving the community and authorities to grapple with the tragic loss of two young lives.
