Seeking to understand if mass shootings can be stopped, an independent researcher conducted a thorough analysis of the Gun Violence Archive and Violence Project databases. The study focused on the top 20 deadliest mass shootings from 1966 to 2023, revealing some striking patterns.
Surprisingly, the analysis found that a significant majority of mass shootings, 55%, occurred between 7 a.m. and noon. This data underscores the need for focused and strategic efforts to deter and prevent mass shootings during this particular time frame.
