KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A shooting early Sunday morning near downtown left two people dead and four others wounded, prompting a large response from local authorities. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. when officers arrived at the scene on 11th and Grand Boulevard following reports of gunfire.
Upon investigation, police discovered the victims in a nearby surface parking lot at 13th and Grand. An adult male was pronounced dead at the scene, while five others were injured, including two adult males—one in critical condition and the other with serious injuries. A juvenile male was also reported to be in critical condition, along with a woman suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The male who was transported to the hospital later succumbed to his injuries.
