MUSKEGON, Mich. — A Saturday afternoon shooting in Muskegon’s Jackson Hill neighborhood left two individuals dead and three others injured, including a young child. The tragic incident has considerably rattled residents of a community typically characterized by its tranquility.
Emergency services responded to reports of gunfire around 3:15 p.m. near Jackson Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 25-year-old man who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A 22-year-old woman was subsequently transported to Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Two other men, both aged 25, remain in critical condition at the same hospital. A four-year-old child, also injured in the shooting, sustained minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
