WARNER ROBINS, Georgia — In a case marking a tough stance on crimes against vulnerable populations, a local man has been handed a substantial prison term by a Georgia court for a violent attack on an elderly homeless woman. Christopher James Davis, 40, was sentenced on March 20, 2025, to 25 years in prison, with a stipulation that he must serve at least 12 of those years behind bars after pleading guilty to charges of aggravated assault and exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person.
This sentence was confirmed by Houston County District Attorney Eric Edwards, who underscored the severity of the assault that occurred in the early hours of October 18, 2024. The unprovoked attack involved Davis approaching the 65-year-old woman, assaulting her with foul language, threats, and physical violence that included using his hands, feet, and a metal pole as weapons.
Following the assault, the victim was discovered several hours later by a passerby who quickly alerted authorities. The timely intervention of law enforcement and medical personnel was crucial in providing the necessary care to the survivor.
